1. Urban Forage Food Tours (Of course)

2. Grasshopper Bike Adventures

One of my favorite things to do in Phnom Penh is to get out of the city on a bicycle, Grasshopper offer a great half day ride from 745am – 12-1pm.

‘Away from the tuk tuks, the motorbikes, the massages, the pizza and the bars, is a truly unique experience. It’s as simple as going on a pedal through the Mekong Islands that lie just north of Phnom Penh. Return to the city with a new view on Phnom Penh and on Cambodia.

If you can ride a bike then you will love this. The distance is approx 25kms on mainly flat tracks and small roads. We stop often to chat to the locals and learn a little about what everyone is up to. There are lots of snacks and water stops as well as some great river ferry crossings. A delicious local lunch is also included.’

3. Khmer Architecture Tours

These tours focus on buildings erected after Cambodia’s independence in 1953, regular tours take place each weekend and private tours are available 7 days a week. All tours are conducted in English and are led by Cambodian artists, architects and students of architecture.

4. Sunset Cruise

A great way to escape the heat after a long day sightseeing is to head out on the river for a sunset cruise. My favourite is Tara Cruises, they offer a 2 hour cruise, hotel pick up and drop off, BBQ snacks on board and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for USD26pp. If you would like to book or check availability drop an email to info@urbanforage.co

5. Backstreet Academy

Backstreet Academy aims to help you enjoy the most authentic experience there is when you are exploring a city. There’s no better way than to connect with a local and learn a traditional craft from him/her. Take a social course today and experience a side of the city you never knew, available only through the forgotten backstreets.
