A little about Ducky
Ducky has been wandering the globe for the past 25 years. She believes in slow food and slow travel. Slow food aims to preserve traditional and regional cuisine, through promotion of small, local businesses. Slow travel, allowing you to engage more fully with communities, favoring spots enjoyed by locals, rather than guidebooks. She believes in using food as a vehicle to understanding cultures and importantly, bringing people together.
Urban Forage and Urban Forage Foodie Adventures were born through her love of food and wanting to share it with as many people as possible.
In between exploring new destinations and cuisines and visiting old favorites you will find her in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Here she shares Cambodia’s culinary delights with travelers on our award winning adventures
Who is Urban Forage?
Urban Forage is a group of people who have a love of food that borders on obsession.
It was born in 2013 when founder Ducky traveled to Cambodia and looked for her favourite thing – a food tour. Realising there were in fact NO food tours in the whole country and having worked for 16 years (at the time) in the tourism industry she set up home and got to eating her way around the country.
9 years on, through a global pandemic, we are still here and hungrier than ever. Branching out into our other love of hidden street art and cooking you can now find us on the streets of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kampot and Kep.
