We had a great experience with Jackson — he was knowledgeable, friendly, and took us to some amazing local spots to try authentic Cambodian dishes we never would’ve found on our own. What a wonderful introduction to Cambodia. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Jackson and our lovely driver. We had two delicious food stops which gave us our first taste of Cambodian food. Then as a contrast a look at the street art which we would never have found on our own. The stories about the background of the art was very interesting. We had a truly memorable evening with Urban Forage being shown local food spots and delicacies in Phnom Penh we would never have found or dared to experience on our own. The whole event was really well managed with good communication and a welcome video in advance, tuc tuc drivers who made the traffic look easy and good explanations and chat throughout. A must do trip! And we so enjoyed the food trip we followed up with an afternoon of street art and galleries. Jackson was a perfect host and introduced us to a range of art which was at times gritty, poignant, hopeful and stunning - with story and meaning, for the past, present and future. The food was delicious, I wish I could have eaten more! The tour was super interesting and the art work was beautiful. Maybe not but you absolutely have to try and there are definitely dishes that I’d love to have again and again. Bonus if you get Jackson as your guide! This tour was a great intro to Phnom Penh culture and good eats. Our guide Visal was very friendly and full of information to share about Cambodian cuisine, family life and himself too. He was kind to shop owners and was jusr as eager to share as we were to learn. He was mindful of an allergy and ensured we tried all the things. All of the art on the trip was really interesting and lovely to see and Jackson had lots of great contextual knowledge about the art and gave lots of great insight. The food on the trip was also delicious and had vegetarian options. Jackson was very friendly and helpful and has excellent English, our driver was also lovely. The walk around BKK market was interesting and we had a delicious first breakfast there, with iced coffee, followed by yummy Cambodian donuts. Then it was off to see some street art and hear the stories behind it. Jackson is great at explaining the street art in the setting of Phnom Penh and recent history. We stopped for second breakfast at a streetside stall and that too was delicious. Overall the tour was a great way to see Phnom Penh and have some delicious local food. Highly recommended. Amazing food tour, and you have to eat at night anyway - so why not go out with Jaxson who was a great guide Everything was organised well and great to get out into the markets and see and eat a lot of local food - you will not go home hungry. Jaxson kept the supply of local beer up as well which kept the boys happy!
