EXCELLENT Based on 10 reviews Posted on Phil Law - RealtorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From start to finish, the experiance was exceptional. Jackson is great, kept us supplied with beer all night and explained each of the food choices and its cultural relevance. Big thumbs up.Posted on Donna JeffsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is one of the best things we’ve done in Cambodia, I highly recommend. We visited 7 different destinations to sample street food and local cuisine, plus seeing the city at night and wandering the night food market. Every place was different, all the food was delicious. They supplied beer and water from the outset and we finished with a wonderful cocktail! Our guide, Jackson, was warm and welcoming and very informative and made the whole experience very special. Definitely a must do when you’re in Pnom Pehn!Posted on Gabriel DavelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. JB, thank you for a wonderful tour of the art and street art in Phnong Penh. Great view on the artists, their contributions and their struggles. It is this kind of tour that brings magic to travelling!Posted on Fraser FamilyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an amazing night with Urban Forage in Phnom Penh. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience easy and fun. Exploring the night markets was a highlight, and we loved being encouraged to try things we normally wouldn’t — including local insects! Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen. This was well above our expectations and such a great way to experience the local food scene. Highly recommend this adventure!Posted on Troy DavisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome tour, host, food....can't have enough. On my first trip to Cambodia, I decided to try Urban Forage Food Tours in Phnom Penh. I'm so glad I did. The tour was incredible. I had so much fun. My tour guide was Panha and not only was he a lot of fun, he was very knowledgeable about Cambodian food. Everything about the tour was great. Especially the company and the food!Posted on Laurence DynesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely excellent food tour! We went to a massive variety of places, most of which I never would have been able to find going by myself. The guide, Panha, was excellent, providing a lot of interesting detail on Cambodian food culture and customs, and was very friendly and interesting to talk to in general! Would highly recommend this if you’re looking to get a real, authentic sense of how locals eat.Posted on George GolovkinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jackson our guide was great, took us to some awesome eateries and had great conversations with him. Not to forget our Driver Lucky very courteous and caring both of them always kept our beverages on the whole trip. Will recommend to all travelling in Phnom Penh.Posted on Sven DiedrichTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a unique experience. It exceeded my expectations. Jackson and the driver showed me some exciting places that you’d probably never find on your own. As a Berliner, I was really impressed by the street art scene in PP. The tour started, however, with a delicious breakfast in a market hall. Everything was fresh, everything was delicious. You’ve got to try it!
EXCELLENT Based on 842 reviews Posted on Fraser FVerified Authentic & Adventurous We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Urban Forage. From start to finish, everything was seamless, thoughtfully organised, and genuinely memorable. We went on a guided street food tour in Phnom Penh and a progressive degustation dinner in Siem Reap. What stood out most was how they took us to places we never would have found or felt confident trying on our own. Every stop felt authentic and carefully chosen, showcasing an incredible range of flavours and local experiences. The guides and tuk tuk drivers were friendly, knowledgeable, and created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere throughout. Urban Forage treated us like VIPs, and the tours were way beyond our expectations. It was such a great way to experience the local food scene in a meaningful way. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting something a bit different and truly special!Posted on Fraser FVerified Much more than food and drinks We had the most incredible experience with Urban Forage on their Phnom Penh street food tour. Our guide was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel relaxed and immersive from the start. They took us through bustling night markets we would never have had the confidence to explore on our own, sharing insights into the local food culture along the way. One of the highlights was being encouraged to step outside our comfort zone and try local delicacies — including insects! It turned out to be a surprisingly fun (and tasty) part of the night and something we’ll be talking about for years. Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen, and the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. If you want a genuine taste of Phnom Penh and its food scene, this tour is an absolute must.Posted on Tracey MVerified Tuktuk food adventure in Phnom Penh We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was J.B. and he was fun, passionate, and informative. He explained everything about what we were eating (and the correct way to flavor it) We sampled a great variety of foods and finished the night in a secluded tropical garden sipping cocktails. We would recommend this tour to anyone with an adventurous appetite!Posted on Brandy OVerified Great food & Tips for Next Time Great experience to local places that were 'holes in the wall' with great tasting food! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke great english. Tuktuks had unlimited beer. A few tips if I were to do it again: We did this when we first arrived. I would wait a bit for eating street food and let our stomachs catch up to the food. We ate SO much food. I would have rather paced myself and left some food at the beginning so I could eat more food at the end of the tour. If you are trying to do this on a smaller budget, you can do a food tour with a local Tuktuk driver or through Grab. Because of the curation of the restaurants, local food, and support for legitimate long time cooks - I would choose this tour again.Posted on Yuri LVerified A middling experience Good representation of Khmer food for first timers e.g. num banhchok in two different ways (plain and a version with curry), num pang etc and we weren't taken to tourist traps. I also thought it was neat that we had a spontaneous spot to see street art. However, I felt that there was context and depth lacking around the cuisine and stalls beyond being escorted around different food spots to feel like the tour actually added value and justified the price tag. For example, I knew about num pang's similarity to banh mi and the French colonial influence despite being a total newbie to Khmer/Cambodian cuisine, but I felt like fellow travellers would have benefited from this and other background. I have done food tours in Istanbul, Mexico City and Bangkok where I felt like I got more explanations with providers such as Culinary Backstreets. At one point, we waited about 15 mins to get to the final stop at Wild, a cocktail bar - it was pretty empty so I wonder whether it would have been possible to get there earlier as our group had finished eating. The tour is fine if you just want a local giving you a broad selection of dishes. I also didn't feel wowed by any of the food spots: they were alright to good, with the highlight being a roadside stall run by a lady serving dessert. I have no idea whether that is a popular dessert or what the name is, though. Really quite minor compared to the rest but it did leave an impression: I was the last to be dropped off by tuk-tuk and our guide left at the penultimate stop, but I felt that he was fairly cold while saying a final goodbye (no acknowledgement). It was late so I'm sure he just wanted to go home but could have been a little more professional. We also had a person from the Midlands in the UK and the guide several times (unsolicited) attempted a Northern accent (not even the same area!) probably to break the ice, which didn't receive any reaction so it would have been good to read the room. I know cultural sensitivity training isn't really a thing there, though and can't speak for my fellow traveller, but I did feel a bit awkward for him. Luckily I had great companions for my tour, so had a good experience because of them.Posted on Nicola SVerified Delicious and informative A great introduction into Cambodian cuisine. tried everything from local restaurants, street food and ended in a cocktail bar. Jackson was a great guide - and we tried everything on offer. Make sure to do this tour hungry!Posted on loulopsVerified Fantastic experience We had the most amazing evening touring Phnom Penh by tuk tuk with our fabulously knowledgeable and highly engaging guide Panya. From street food to sampling unusual fruits at the market to a restaurant serving traditional Cambodian dishes and ending at a great cocktail garden we loved every minute and every mouthful. This tour was the highlight of our stay in Phnom Penh.Posted on ROBERT HVerified Food , drink and song Had an amazing time with Jackson. All the food and more ?!?! Live music, and even Jackson singing didn't put us out food . Cocktail sat the end of evening was just 👍 Also the drivers added to the night , so safePosted on Louise LVerified Thoroughly recommend if you like food and booze! Excellent tour with sooo much amazing food! Plenty to drink as well and Tuk tuks are always fun. A great way to see the city at night and try places we wouldn’t normally have stopped at. Our guide Visal was very friendly, had excellent English, was easy to speak with and a great informative guide.Posted on Roam698925Verified Excellent, fun food tour We absolutely loved our food tour. Don’t miss it. There were 8 people total and all of the food was awesome. We even made an impromptu stop at the bug stand for some crickets, frogs, worms, etc. the night was awesome including the final drink at the Wild cocktail bar. to Viator, I would recommend skipping the full sit down meal at stop 5. It was too much food and unecessary and we all preferred the traditional street food stops. We also loved the beer cooler!!
