Jackson's intimate knowledge of Phnom Penh lead us to places where we were allowed to see the everyday and unadorned lives of local citizens. From the markets, to the mural-lined alleys , to the street restaurant, Jackson shared the stories of these locations and their people with a compassion and attention to detail that brought them to life. We went to lots of varied locations and ate lots of street food as well as "the main event" when we all sat down and had a feast of varied local cuisine. Tuktuk came and whisked me to a meal trip that I won't soon forget. Note: come hungry, lots of food will be provided. JB was awesome and relaxed guide with good knowledge about the food and also answered to any questions asked. And also super funny. So definitely if you want a fun evening with food and some night sights as a bonus then be sure to book this tour.
EXCELLENTVerified Fantastic evening in Phnom Penh This tour was a fun introduction to Cambodian food and lots of fun riding a tuktuk all across town to 8 tasting stops (and beer in between!). I did their Ultimate St Food tour the day prior and backed it up with this st art tour. Loved all 3 noodle dishes and the highlight was the stories behind the st art (and free flow beer). Amazing food tour, and you have to eat at night anyway - so why not go out with Jaxson who was a great guide Everything was organised well and great to get out into the markets and see and eat a lot of local food - you will not go home hungry. Jaxson kept the supply of local beer up as well which kept the boys happy! If there's one tour you have to do in Phnomh Penh, it's this one. Not only do you visit various eateries (restaurants, streel stalls, markets, etc.), the tastings are varied and I would say better food than what you get in many restaurants. Being a tuk tuk is also an added bonus as you get to see parts of the city you probably would miss if you have limited time like I did. Walking through the Russian Markets and seemingly random street stalls made the whole thing more authentic. There's something really fun about hopping place to place in a tuk tuk to sample local cuisine. The trip ended at a bar that included a free cocktail where you can stay at your own leisure after the trip ends or go from there. Just make sure you don't eat anything several hours beforehand because you will be full part-way through, so pace yourself! We did this tour last night with our family of 4 and it was definitely a city highlight! Jackson was our tour guide and he was an amazing historian discussing the beautiful culture of Cambodia and also a great guide on the tour. Two of our family members don’t drink and there were plenty of options available for them outside of alcoholic beverages. The food stops were incredible and the tuk tuk drivers were so sweet and exceptionally hospitable. Highly recommend!
