Try Cambodia’s Oldest Dish
First, we sneak down a back alley by the Royal Palace to try one of Cambodia’s oldest noodle dishes, served up by 3 generations of home cooks, alongside the after-work crowd. This dish dates back to the 5th century!
Phnom Penh's Forgotten Neighbourhood Tour
Next, we’ll explore a vibrant creative neighborhood shaped by a complex past, where bold street art and colorful murals tell stories of resilience and hope. This open-air gallery showcases local and international artists who blend tradition with modern expression, transforming the walls into a living canvas. As you wander through, you’ll feel the energy of a community that has reinvented itself through creativity, offering a unique and inspiring glimpse into the city’s artistic heart.
Unique Cambodian Pin Noodles
Next up is a dish you’ll only find here in Cambodia, stir-fried Cambodian pin noodles. These hand-cut rice noodles are chewy, savory, tossed in a fiery wok with greens and meat (or not), and often topped with a fried egg. It’s the ultimate street food comfort. You’ll see locals grabbing this at all hours, from busy markets to late-night stalls.
Hidden Alley Street Art
Next stop, we’re ducking into one of Phnom Penh’s best-kept secrets. Tucked away behind the main street, this narrow passage has become a rotating canvas for local and international artists. The murals here change every six months, so there’s always something new to discover, bold colors, fresh ideas, and stories painted straight onto the walls. It’s a hidden corner of the city where creativity never stands still.
Hand rolled, fat, chewy noodle soup
Our last stop brings us to a social enterprise restaurant with a powerful mission. Here, vulnerable youth and former street kids are given training in hospitality and cooking, opening doors to brighter futures. On the menu is their hand-rolled chewy noodle soup — a dish that’s as comforting as it is unique. The noodles are made fresh by hand, giving them a soft, springy bite that soaks up the rich, fragrant broth. It’s a chance not only to taste something truly special, but also to support a place where every bowl helps change lives.
